Naran Valley, Pakistan
Naran Valley, a fairyland on earth, is one of the most famous tourist destinations of Pakistan. Surrounded on either side by towering mountain peaks and covered with lush fir and pine forests, the valley is still safe from human incursions. The snow covered Himalayan peaks, hidden in clouds, are a great attraction for mountaineers and trekkers visiting the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The road leading to Naran runs along the Kunhar River, which adds further delight to the traveller’s journey. Tourists may also obtain fishing licenses in order to fish at the Kunhar River. Although the only source for shopping in the valley is its small bazaar (market), local specialties as well as goods of daily use are available there.
